Saint Paul Port Authority

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Port Authority’s finance team, reporting to the Controller. In this position you will play an integral role in supporting the organization’s daily business operations by facilitating the timely and accurate completion of accounting transactions.


You will be successful in this role by demonstrating that you are a self-starter with a strong work ethic. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Accounts receivable including invoice preparation, cash receipts, and aging reports and analysis

- Loan servicing including recording issuance of loans, invoicing, and application of payments

- Accounts payable including processing of vendor invoices, monthly check runs, and 1099 preparation

- Cash management including monitoring of cash receipts and disbursements, and monthly bank transfers to ensure adequate cash flow

- Review, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts, and prepare necessary general journal entries

- Assist with various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports


QUALIFICATION

- Associate degree in accounting

- Three (3) years of job-related experience

Controller

Saint Paul Port Authority 
Location: Minnesota

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join the Saint Paul Port Authority finance team. As the Controller, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will have the opportunity to oversee the financial side of a wide range of high-profile projects across the City of Saint Paul. In addition to day-to-day requirements, you will be instrumental in helping us meet our strategic goals and stay true to our mission.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct the organization’s public finance and accounting practices
- Manage accounting department staff
- Oversee Tax Increment Financing (TIF) reporting and assist with the development of new TIF districts
- Oversee annual State and Federal A-133 audit process
- Coordinate accounting and financial reporting for various projects and related compliance monitoring for grants received by the Port Authority
- Assist CFO in overseeing banking relationships and financial transactions
- Assist CFO and bond counsel in issuance of bonds

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ years relative experience with banking, public finance, or taxation
- CPA preferred

Director of Financial Analysis and Reporting

Jefferson County Commission, Alabama 

Location: Alabama


The Director of Financial Analysis and Reporting will assist with oversight of all aspects of financial analysis and reporting; and for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting and statements in accordance with the JeffCo Way principles. The Director of Financial Analysis and Reporting will provide support for the County’s Strategic capital and operational business process from a financial perspective, including building long-range forecasts consistent with vision and performance as directed by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The incumbent may liaise with external auditors and various corporate departments, as necessary. This position will report to the CFO and their work is reviewed for compliance with established standards and guidelines.


Environmental Loans Project Manager

These positions would be stationed out of the DNR Headquarters in Madison, WI and would allow for telework up to 60% of the work week!

Capital Finance Officer

State of Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

This position is responsible for various duties within the Capital Finance Office relating to general debt management and operations of the multi-billion State of Wisconsin Environmental Improvement Fund. This position prepares for the sale and issuance of general obligation and revenue debt of the State of Wisconsin; Monitors outstanding bond issues to ensure compliance with federal and other legal requirement; Works on policy development, review of legislative proposals, and development of innovative initiatives related to financing for the State; and operates the $6 billion State of Wisconsin Environmental Improvement Fund (EIF) and its two state-wide municipal bond and loan programs (currently the Clean Water Fund Program and the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program).


Responsibilities generally include but are not limited to developing, maintaining, and using extensive and complex data and management information systems; analysis and documentation of EIF loan and loan portfolio analysis, and compliance with related municipal, state, and federal requirements.

Director of Finance 

Village of Sussex


Location: Wisconsin 

The Village of Sussex (population 11,487) is looking for a Finance Director to train under and ultimately replace our Finance Director who plans to retire in early 2023 after 30+ years with the Village. The new Finance Director will work alongside the retiring director for approximately one year with the goal of retaining institutional knowledge and learning the Village’s financial processes.
